The St. Joseph City Council has officially adopted a 208-million-dollar annual budget for the upcoming fiscal year, marking a slight decrease from the original proposal. Councilmembers also approved a federal grant submission to secure over 1.8 million dollars in HUD funding for local public services and housing rehabilitation projects. Additionally, the city greenlit a resolution to issue up to 12 million dollars in industrial development bonds to help finance the transformation of a historic Frederick Avenue building into a 91-unit luxury apartment complex.
