The city of Maryville announced Jessica Rickabaugh as director of the Northwest Regional Communications Center. She has been leading the NRCC since it opened in 2020, and has worked with the city since 2011 where she started as a part-time dispatcher.

Northwest to dissolve DEI office
In an email sent to students, faculty and more, Northwest Missouri State University leadership announced it is dissolving of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion among other restructuring. Northwest president Lance Tatum said the university is “transitioning to a model that broadens our holistic approach to student achievement.”

Parents as Teachers selected by Ten Squared Women
Maryville Early Childhood Center’s Parents as Teachers program was selected as Ten Squared Women On a Mission program to as the nonprofit recipient for this quarter. Organizations are voted on by group members. The funds will be used to help the families and youngsters in the program.

Clarinda Foundation opens scholarship applications
2025 Clarinda Foundation Scholarship application forms are now available for local high school students. Clarinda Community School. Scholarship descriptions to determine eligibility can be found on the Clarinda Foundation website. Applications are due March 15.
