A critical error by the Buchanan County Clerk’s Office has nullified the recently approved Proposition KIDS bond issue, which would have provided $2 million for the Buchanan County R-IV School District. The district must now re-run the exact same ballot measure on August 5, 2025, to secure the much-needed funding for projects like stadium lighting and HVAC improvements. Despite the setback, Superintendent Travis Dittemore expressed disappointment but confirmed that planning phases for the projects will continue while awaiting the August vote.
