The Buchanan County Fairgrounds project is moving forward with construction on a new building, primarily paid for by the county but also supported by recent donations. A significant contribution came from a late local farmer’s trust fund dedicated to agriculture, along with funds from the Ag Expo Board. Officials expect work to begin in the coming weeks at the old East Buchanan Middle School site, with the new building starting to go up in October.
