Two St. Joseph women were arrested Wednesday afternoon on North Belt Highway following a narcotics investigation by local law enforcement. Tyra Rich, 26, was arrested on outstanding felony warrants, while a second woman was also taken into custody. Investigators confirmed finding a sizable quantity of fentanyl and a firearm inside the vehicle the women were operating, leading to additional charges. Authorities stated they are pleased to remove the fentanyl from the street, noting the unfortunate trend of seizing increasingly larger amounts of the drug.
