The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Herzog Contracting Corp. to launch an infrastructure project on Interstate 29 in Buchanan County starting Monday, April 6. The work includes replacing the approaches to the Pigeon Creek and Bee Creek bridges, followed by a full resurfacing of the interstate between mile markers 31 and 39.8. Crews will initially focus on shoulder reconstruction before moving to bridge repairs, with the final paving phase scheduled to begin in August 2026.
