The lawsuit challenges the constitutionality of the legislature’s special session on redistricting, arguing it required an updated census. A judge previously denied the NAACP’s request to halt the session, and the court is now considering a motion by the state to dismiss the case. This lawsuit is distinct from two other redistricting challenges set for trial on November 12th.
