The St. Joseph Public Library is celebrating America’s 250th anniversary with a series of free summer programs, beginning with a firsthand account of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Tonight at 5:30 p.m. at the East Hills Library, author Dorinda Nicholson will share her childhood experiences of living just yards away from the USS Utah when the bombing began in 1941. Nicholson’s presentation will draw from her book, “Pearl Harbor Child,” and residents can find more information about other upcoming historical events on the library’s website.
