The Andrew County Aquatics Initiative has announced that the Savannah Pool is expected to open by Memorial Day, reversing earlier concerns that the facility might remain closed for the 2026 season. After determining that a new construction project would be prohibitively expensive, organizers opted for a major renovation of the existing structure, which is estimated to cost under one million dollars. Officials credit strong community support for the shift in strategy, noting that over 500 residents have donated to help ensure the pool remains available for the upcoming summer without disruption.
