The City of St. Joseph celebrated a historical milestone Friday by opening a time capsule originally placed in the City Hall cornerstone on March 27, 1926. The 100-year-old container held various artifacts, including a 1920s telephone directory, period newspapers, and a personal note from former Mayor Henry E. Grosser to the current mayor. Local officials plan to display these items at the St. Joseph Museum before burying a new time capsule in 2027 to mark the building’s centennial.
