A 65-year-old Buchanan County man is hospitalized after being shot and beaten during an argument with two men who reportedly ran over his cat. Authorities say the altercation occurred Tuesday morning when the suspects exited their vehicle, shot the victim, and assaulted him with a bicycle frame. The victim was airlifted to KU Medical Center for treatment, and local law enforcement is continuing to investigate the incident.
