A 54-year-old Missouri man died Saturday after an explosive device detonated inside his vehicle during a chase with law enforcement. Authorities say Christopher Williams fled from deputies in Gower after making threats of “suicide by cop,” at one point driving head-on toward officers while displaying what appeared to be an explosive. The pursuit ended in a field when a blast occurred inside his vehicle, killing Williams and sending shrapnel into patrol cars, though no officers were injured.
