The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced planned roadwork for Nodaway, Andrew, and Atchison counties for the week of June 29th, though crews will suspend most projects by noon on Friday to accommodate Independence Day travel. In Nodaway and Atchison counties, drivers should expect lane closures and 10-foot width restrictions on U.S. Routes 71 and 136 for ongoing resurfacing, while temporary daytime closures are scheduled for culvert replacements on Nodaway’s Routes H and U. Additionally, northbound Interstate 29 in Andrew County will be narrowed to one lane around the clock early in the week for concrete replacement at the Honey Creek bridge.
