St. Joseph, Missouri residents gathered outside City Hall on Monday to protest a proposed annexation that would bring a four-building data center campus to the area. Demonstrators voiced concerns during the city council’s public comment period, citing potential impacts on local water and electricity supplies, as well as a perceived lack of transparency from city officials. Opponents have organized additional demonstrations and plan to attend an upcoming public town hall meeting scheduled for July 16th at the Missouri Theater.
