The Kansas City Royals and Hallmark Cards announced a multi-billion dollar partnership Wednesday to build a new downtown ballpark within the 85-acre Crown Center district. The project is expected to draw over $2 billion in private investment and create 20,000 construction jobs while establishing new headquarters for both organizations. Funding will be anchored by private investors and supplemented by local and state contributions through Missouri’s Show-Me Sports Investment Act.
