The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled several highway maintenance and construction projects in Nodaway County for the week of June 1–7. Drivers can expect delays and single-lane closures on both U.S. Route 71 and U.S. Route 136 due to ongoing resurfacing projects that include a 10-foot width restriction through August 2026. Additionally, Route U remains closed from northbound U.S. Route 71 to Jet Road, while Hawk Road access at U.S. Route 71 will be closed for bridge barrier and guardrail replacement starting June 1.
