Mosaic Life Care and Missouri Western State University held a “Promise Day” signing ceremony on Monday to welcome 15 local high school graduates into their joint nursing scholarship program. The initiative covers half of the students’ tuition and provides them with paid positions at the hospital while they complete their degrees. In exchange, the scholars commit to working for the Mosaic health system after graduation, a strategy designed to address the regional healthcare worker shortage and retain local talent.
