The Missouri State High School Activities Association has approved several major changes aimed at addressing competitive equity for non-public schools. Under the new guidelines, successful private schools will now accrue championship points on a depreciating model that reduces the weight of past postseason success over time. Additionally, the association has removed the previous two-class limit on school movement, allowing highly successful programs to potentially jump multiple classification levels based on a newly established point threshold system. These updates are scheduled to be fully reflected on the association’s website by July 15th.
