The St. Joseph Museums has received a $15,000 grant from the Missouri Humanities Council to create a new outdoor interpretive trail. Designed in collaboration with the Ioway, Sac and Fox, and Kaw tribes, the pathway will feature native plants and educational signage exploring the history and heritage of the region’s Native Peoples. The project will also include new outdoor seating for community events, with construction expected to begin this September at the museum’s Frederick Avenue location.
