The Missouri Department of Transportation has released its highway maintenance schedule for the week of October 5th, highlighting several major traffic impacts across Nodaway, Atchison, and Holt counties. In Nodaway County, ongoing resurfacing projects will cause lane reductions and width restrictions on U.S. Routes 71, 46, and 136, while neighboring Atchison County will face daytime closures on Routes N, AA, and O for pavement repair. Additionally, Interstate 29 in Holt County will be reduced to one lane around the clock for concrete replacement, and MoDOT is reminding drivers to slow down and put their phones down in all active work zones.
