Following the failure of Amendment 4 in Tuesday’s primary election, voting data shows that Northwest Missouri strongly opposed the ballot measure. The proposed amendment aimed to limit the citizen-led initiative process by requiring majority approval in all of the state’s congressional districts instead of a simple statewide majority. Across several Northwest Missouri counties, support for the measure remained below 30 percent, with a clear majority of voters in each county casting their ballots against the change.
