An Alabama man is facing a recommended 16-year prison sentence after being convicted of attempted child enticement in Platte County, Missouri. Forty-seven-year-old Thomas Taylor was arrested following an undercover operation in which law enforcement detectives posed online as a 16-year-old girl. Taylor was taken into custody by authorities when he arrived at a pre-arranged meeting spot with the agreed-upon money and a specifically requested energy drink. He is scheduled to be officially sentenced on October 13.
